Travelling Classroom Panama and Costa Rica

Het azuur blauwe water rondom de San Blas eilandenIn this Panama and Costa Rica Travelling Classroom you will visit the following places: Panama City, Boquete and Bocas del Toro in Panama and Turrialba in Costa Rica. At each school you’ll receive 20 class hours of Spanish classes in a group except in Panama City. Here the course will be three days (12 class hours in total) because you will take a trip to the San Blas islands on Thursday. An archipelago with a still traditionally living indigenous population. Each week of  this Travelling Classroom will include amazing activities and excursions!

The travelling classroom Panama and Costa Rica departs every first full weekend of the month.

1st week of the Panama and Costa Rica Travelling Classroom: Panama City

Start of the Panama and Costa Rica Travelling Classroom. You will be pickePanama en Costa Rica Travelling Classroom, the Panama canald up from the airport and brought to a nice hotel called Posada 2014. This is where you will staying for the first 4 nights of the tour. You can also arrive on a Saturday, which will give you a chance to acclimatize before starting the course. In that case you pay for one extra night ($18 including breakfast).

 

Monday through Wednesday

Spanish course: This week you will only receive 12 class hours of Spanish classes in a group, because on Thursday you will travel to San Blas where you don’t have Spanish classes.
The following activities are planned in Panama City:

  • Latin American dance class (Salsa / Cumbia or Merengue).
  • Panamanian cooking workshop.
  • Visit Casco Viejo, the impressive old part of Panama City.
Thursday morning Departure to the San Blas Islands.
Thursday through Friday You will stay forThe group tour Panama and Costa Rica Travelling Classroom will include a visit to the San Blas Islands! 2 nights with local indigenous people in simple wooden huts in a shared room. Here you can go snorkeling in beautiful crystal clear water. The islands are very small and many are not populated. The people live of the cultivation of coconuts and production of Molas. Molas are brightly colored cloths with native designs. There will be no Spanish Classes in San Blas, just relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings!
Saturday afternoon Back to Panama City, here you will stay for one more night.
Sunday Travel to Boquete by bus.

2nd week of the Panama and Costa Rica Travelling Classroom: Boquete

Late afternoon arrival in Boquete.
Monday through Friday
Spanish course: 20 class hours of group Spanish course, 4 hours per day.
The following activities are planned in Boquete:
  • Latin American dance class (Salsa / Cumbia or MerPanama, Boquete Canopytourengue).
  • Panamanian cooking workshop.
  • Canopy tour. Along 13 cables, also called zip lines, you will glide alongside the tree tops. Exciting! You will need to bring long pants, closed shoes and a long sleeve t-shirt. Gloves and helmet are supplied.
Friday night
Happy hour with drinks to celebrate the weeks’ end.
Saturday morning
Departure to Bocas del Toro by boat and bus.

3rd week of the Panama and Costa Rica Travelling Classroom: Bocas del Toro

Arrival late afternoon.
Sunday
Full day excursion. Get useSailing on a catamaran in Bocas del Torod to the relaxed way of life on this Caribbean island with a day trip on a catamaran. Time to relax, swim and snorkel. Bocas is a nice place to go out. For example there is a discotheque build right over the water with a hole in the floor through which you can see a ship wreck in the water. There is also a party ship which cruises around when all the discotheques are closed.
Monday through Friday
Spanish course: 20 class hours of Spanish tuition in a group.
You can participate in the following activities in Bocas del Toro:

  • Latin American dance class (Salsa / Cumbia or Merengue).
  • Panamanian cooking workshop.
Friday night
Happy hour with drinks to celebrate the end of the week.
Saturday
To Turrialba by boat and bus (Costa Rica).

4th week of the Panama and Costa Rica Travelling Classroom: Turrialba

Arrival in Turrialba late afternoon.
Monday through Friday:
Spanish course: 20 class hours of Spanish course in a group.
You can participate in the following activities in Turrialba:
  • Latin American dance class (Salsa / Cumbia or Merengue).
  • Panamanian cooking workshop.
  • Happy hour with drinks to celebrate the end of the week.
Friday night
 Happy hour with drinks to celebrate the end of the week.
Saturday and Sunday
To conclude thisRafting: Great way to end this Travelling Classroom Panama and Costa Rica. Panama and Costa Rica Travelling Classroom you will participate in a two day rafting trip on the river Rio Pacuare. Accommodation will be in a tent alongside the river. The camp site is located right in the jungle. After the rafting trip you can relax in a hammock where you will likely see sloths and toucans pass by. Quite the adventure don’t you think?

Included in the Panama and Costa Rica Travelling Classroom:

  • Three and a half weeks (72 class hours) of Spanish course in a group of max. 6 students (usually there will be 3 or 4).
  • 28 nights of accommodation based on shared rooms.
  • Activities and excursions as mentioned above.
  • All transportation from the arrival at the airport in Panama City to the last location Turrialba.
  • Daily breakfast.
  • Wifi Internet at the schools. No Wifi in San Blas or during the camping trip.

Not included in the  Travelling Classroom Panama and Costa Rica:

  • All meals except breakfast
  • Expenses of a personal nature.
  • Your (international) flight to Panama City
